A 45-year-old was arrested after he allegedly called 911 twice to falsely report people were in his home and hiding under his home. The subject, identified as Jeremy Joseph Noyes, 45, remains in the Coffee County Jail.

An incident report from the sheriff’s office states that on January 11, 2025, in the early morning hours, Noyes called 911 and reported that three or four men had come into his home and forced him to leave. Noyes added that one of the men was still inside hiding under a bed. Deputies responded and did not find anyone at the home. While deputies were there, Noyes showed them a window that he said the men used to gain entry into the home, the report says. However, the window was nailed shut. Noyes added that these men were the same ones who used to following him when he was homeless in Douglas, the report states. The deputies told him no one was there and he should go to sleep.

A short time later, Noyes called 911 again and reported that the men were back on his property. This time, the report says, Noyes had audio recordings of the men. However, the supposed recordings only contained sounds of Noyes moving around, the report says. Noyes also said that the men were under his home. A deputy looked under the house and no one was there. Another person in the house said no one else was there.

The report also says that Noyes admitted that he had been arrested in another county for misuse of 911 for reporting that a group of men were following him.

Noyes was arrested and charged with making a false report and transported to the Coffee County Jail. He has not been released.
