Maggie Lou Crosby, age 84, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Saturday, March 15th, 2025 in San Mateo, Florida. She was born on May 29th, 1940, the daughter of Mr. J. W. and Mrs. Iris Peterson Sikes.

Maggie was survived by two daughters, Carrol Crosby, and her spouse, Jana Fitzgerald, of San Mateo, Florida and Susan Crosby Preston, and her spouse, Bill Preston, of Douglas, Georgia.

She was also survived by two grandchildren, Lane Preston DuPont, and her spouse, Jordan DuPont, of Blackshear, Georgia and Stephens Olivia Preston, and her fiancé, Brady Collins, of Macon, Georgia as well as one great granddaughter, Bennie Row DuPont.

She was also survived by one brother, John Sikes, and his spouse, Sandy Sikes, of Orlando Florida, along with several nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her spouse, Bennie Crosby, and her brother, Hal Sikes.

Maggie was a beloved member of the community and Lone Hill Church. She played the piano at Lone Hill Church for over 71 years. Maggie was born and raised in the Huffer community in Coffee County. She was married to her late husband Bennie for 64 years. She adored her family, her Lone Hill Church family, her dog Evie Rose, feeding her birds, and doing for others. She was a devout wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Maggie touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 19th, 2025 at Lone Hill Church, located at 6833 Broxton Westgreen Hwy, Douglas, Georgia from 10:00am to 11:00am.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 19th, 2025 at 11:00am at Lone Hill Church, officiated by Reverend Mary Anne Braswell and Pastor Amy Rogers.
