The Atlanta Falcons have re-signed Douglas native Kentavius Street, a defensive lineman who has played one full season and one partial season with the Falcons. Street, 28, has played six seasons in the NFL.

The Falcons acquired Street in a 2023 trade with the Philadelphia Eagles. Defensive tackle Grady Jarrett had gone down with a season-ending injury and the Falcons needed some help on the defensive line. Last year, Atlanta signed Street to a one-year deal. Atlanta’s front office has liked what they’ve seen over the last year and a half, and they snatched up Street for the 2025 season as well.

Last year, Street played in 13 games but did not start any. He recorded 15 tackles, four tackles for loss, and one sack. Jarrett had returned for the 2024 season, which limited Street’s playing time. However, Jarrett is now a Chicago Bear, which should open up more opportunities for Street this coming season.

Street has also played with the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints, and the Philadelphia Eagles. For his career, he has recorded 104 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery.

Street was a fourth-round pick out of North Carolina State in the 2018 draft. He attended Coffee High School for a short time before moving to North Carolina. He graduated from J.H. Rose High School.
