A drug investigation that began with arrests in Telfair County expanded into Jeff Davis County after officers received some new information. Two individuals suspected of trafficking methamphetamine who were recently arrested in Lumber City on charges relating to meth trafficking and distribution by the Oconee Drug Task Force have now been charged in Jeff Davis County. Information was obtained regarding the two suspects that led officers to believe that drugs and weapons were being stored at a residence in Jeff Davis County.
Coordinating with the Oconee Drug Task Force, Jeff Davis County drug investigators initiated a search warrant on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at a residence on Ira Graham Road in Jeff Davis County. During the search of the property, several weapons, drugs, packaging materials, and drug related objects were discovered. The two individuals responsible are currently being held on trafficking charges in Telfair County but will be facing several drug and weapons charges in Jeff Davis County.
Jeremy “Frog” Wilcox was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Alprazolam/Xanax), possession of a Schedule IV Controlled IV Substance (Diazepam), possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance (buprenorphine hydrochloride sublingual), possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (x4)possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (x12), possession of drug related objects, and a probation violation.
Robin “Lay” Wilcox was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Alprazolam/Xanax), possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Diazepam), possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance (buprenorphine hydrochloride sublingual), possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (x4), and possession of drug related objects.
