A Jeff Davis County man allegedly lied to investigators during a traffic stop then decided to come clean and admit to wrongdoing.

On Thursday, June 6, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Jeff Davis County drug investigators conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, agents asked the driver, Christopher Rowland, if there were any drugs or weapons in the truck and Rowland stated that there weren’t.

Shortly after confirming information on the driver and his vehicle, Rowland admitted to investigators that he had drugs and handed it to the officers.

Rowland was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug related objects.  He was transported to the Jeff Davis County Jail.
