The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office launched a comprehensive investigation into serious allegations of sexual misconduct involving 28-year-old Juan Delgado. The allegations surfaced following a report filed in the early morning hours of June 10, 2025 concerning incidents that reportedly occurred over several years at a residence within the county.
Deputies responded to a call involving a juvenile who disclosed past and recent instances of sexual abuse. During the initial stages of the investigation, the minor victim revealed that Delgado had assaulted her, with the abuse purportedly beginning when she was in the fifth grade and continuing through her teenage years. The most recent incident was alleged to have occurred on June 5, 2025.
The victim explained that she had previously remained silent about the abuse due to a lack of understanding of the crime and fears of repercussions. She chose to come forward after learning that a family member had also allegedly suffered similar abuse at Delgado’s hands.
During subsequent interviews, detectives interviewed Delgado, who admitted to touching both girls when they were approximately 12 years old with the intent of arousing them. Delgado also confessed to raping one of the girls when she was just over 12 years old.
As a result of the investigation, Juan Delgado has been charged with two counts of child molestation and one count of first-degree rape. He remains in custody at the Coffee County Jail pending further legal proceedings.
The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office emphasizes its commitment to protecting the community and ensuring that perpetrators of such crimes are held accountable. Authorities encourage any additional victims or witnesses to come forward to aid in the ongoing investigation.
