Pamela J. Howell, 70, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on July 31, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on November 5, 1954, in Miami, Florida, Pamela was the beloved daughter of Edith White Riley. She was a devoted wife, mother, stepmother, and grandmother who deeply loved and cherished her family and friends.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Howard Spivey; her daughters, Angel Howell of Douglas, Georgia and April Howell (Matt) of Willard, Ohio; her stepdaughter, Whitney Courson (Joseph) of Pearson, Georgia; and her stepson, Brandon Spivey (Whitney) of Thomasville, Georgia. She was a proud grandmother to 16 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Michael Howell of West Palm Beach, Florida.
Pamela was a strong and resilient woman whose love for her family was the center of her life. She had a heart for helping people, always offering support, advice, or a helping hand to anyone in need. She was also known for speaking her mind—boldly and truthfully—and those who knew her appreciated her honesty, strength, and unshakable loyalty. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM, at Sims Funeral Home.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Jowers Chapel Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Beth Roberts King and Rev. Gary Seawright officiating.
Sims Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
