Rev. Clifford Edward Short, Sr., age 82, of Nicholls, Georgia, passed away Monday evening, October 6, 2025 at Coffee Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family following a recent decline in health.

Short was of the non denominational faith, and loved to share the word of God.  He spent 18 years as a pastor in Jail Ministry and Nursing Home Ministry.  His love for people and serving others also took him into the medical field where he obtained his Certified Nursing Assistant credentials, spending many years helping those in need.

Rev. Short leaves behind 3 children: Clifford Edward Short, Jr. and wife Sheila of Nicholls, Georgia, Kyle Williams Short of Baxley, Georgia, and Timothy Sumner Short and fiancé Carol Thibault, of Clarksville, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren: Meggan, Andrew, Jonathan, Ashlyn, Dakota, Briana, Arianna, Timothy, Jr., Isaiah, and Zander; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Clarence Short of Vermont; along with a number of extended family members.
