A 26-year-old from Tifton was arrested and charged with terroristic threats and acts after an initial 911 call reporting shots had been fired from a vehicle.

According to a report from the Douglas Police Department, the incident occurred on September 26, 2025, at around 2 a.m. The complainant advised that she was in a car that was being followed. Someone in the other vehicle was shooting at her vehicle, the report says. The vehicles were moving throughout the call and officers were able to find them traveling north on Gaskin Avenue.

An officer stopped a black 2015 Kia Optima and asked the driver, identified as Clydinithia Wilburn, 26, of Tifton, to exit the vehicle. During the investigation, officers found a gun in the Kia but it was in the glove box. The report says that Wilburn stated that she did not shoot at anyone. There were no shell casings in the car, the report says.

The incident began on the north end of town. Those involved went to the two Circle K locations in Douglas while everything was going on. Officers, however, were unable to get video footage from the two stores, the report says. Employees did witness the incident, according to the report.

After speaking with witnesses and the participants, Wilburn was charged with terroristic threats and acts. She was booked into the Coffee County Jail and later released.
