Mrs. Adriana Contreras Silva, age 46, of Douglas, Georgia passed away Monday afternoon, November 17, 2025, at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Adriana was born July 8, 1979, in Ojo Caliente, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Mario Contreras and the late Maria DeJesus Silva Cisneros. She was a housekeeper for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and a hard worker who prided herself on providing for her family. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed knitting and shopping. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Juvenal Garcia Rodriguez.
Adriana is survived by her children: Jennifer Sanchez and husband Chris of Willacoochee, Georgia, Fernando Yair Ventura of Jacksonville, Florida, and Ximena Garcia Contreras of Douglas, Georgia; 4 grandchildren: Christopher, Geo, Aria, and Aleyah; 2 brothers: Mario Contreras of Douglas, Georgia, and Ivan Contreras of Mexico; 4 sisters: Blanca Contreras, Yadira Contreras, Dulce Contreras, and Gaby Contreras, all of Mexico; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Adriana’s family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, November 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM at St. Paul Catholic Church. At 6:00 PM a Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Saimel Perdomo officiating. A private inurnment will be held at St. Paul Columbarium at a later date.
