Just before 1 p.m. on November 8, 2025, a deputy with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a subject who had active warrants for the sale of methamphetamine. During the investigation, the deputy, along with other officers, found suspected methamphetamine on his person and in his home.
According to an incident report from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, the officer saw the suspect, identified as Randy Earl Keene, 68, of Douglas, on Parkway Road. The officer knew that Keene had active warrants for the sale of methamphetamine. He stopped Keene and took him into custody. He searched Keene at the scene and found a cigarette pack containing suspected methamphetamine, the report says.
The deputy contacted a drug detective who went to the scene with two other officers. Keene gave consent to search his home. There, according to the report, the officers discovered a smoking device, small baggies, and a scale with suspected methamphetamine residue on it. One of the officers also found suspected methamphetamine elsewhere in the home.
Keene was arrested, transported to the Coffee County Jail, and later released.
