A 38-year-old Douglas man wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service was detained after a Douglas police officer stopped to assist a disabled vehicle.
According to a report from the police department, on January 19 at 4 p.m., a police officer saw a disabled vehicle on Southeast Bowens Mill Road. An adult male, identified as Daniel Laronn Rowe, 38, of Douglas, and two juveniles were in the car. The report says that Lowe stated the car belonged to his brother who left it so he could go to work.
The officer ran Lowe’s information and saw that he had multiple warrants through the Marshals Service and other agencies. Coffee E-911 confirmed the warrants and Lowe was taken into custody. He is being held for the Marshals at the Coffee County Jail.
