Michael Lonnie Moseley Sr., age 60, of Broxton, GA, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, following an extended illness. He was born on August 31st, 1965, the son of the late Mr. Alfred Moseley Sr. and the late Mrs. Mary Newman Moseley.
His survivors include: his companion, Joy Ward of Broxton, GA and her children, Dustin Railey, Deanna Railey, Dana Railey, and Derrick Railey; one son, Michael Moseley Jr.; two daughters, Lonna Bohannon and Sasha Moseley; two sisters, Cindy (Dennis) Moseley Hurst and Diane Hardy Yancey; and two grandchildren, Dylan Bowen and Leland Bowen; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: father, Alfred Moseley Sr.; mother, Mary Newman Moseley; and two sisters, Patricia Hardy Spires Walden and Sylvia Hardy Pridgen.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM.
Mr. Moseley will lie in state at Sims Funeral Home from Sunday, February 1, 2026 until the day of the funeral on Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Wendell Moseley and Rev. Walter James officiating. Interment will follow at Broxton City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will include: Josh Pridgen, Jay Yancey, William Hurst, Jason Hurst, Dylan Bowen, and Leland Bowen.
Honorary pallbearers will include: Kevin Crews, Greg Griffis, Shane Ables, Bryan Strickland, Stacy Prescott, Jerry Cliett, Elmer Deen, and Tony Roberson.
