Levon Worth Kirkland, age 81, of Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 12, 1944, the daughter of the late Mr. Dave Sam Worth and the late Mrs. Mamie Snipes Worth.
Ms. Levon married Ronald on May 31, 1965. She was twenty years old when she married. She went right to devoting her time to doing her best to take care of home and family. She was an artistic home decorator and remodeler. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. She always made sure her family had everything they needed. Everyone who knew her said that she was the nicest person they knew. She was born again in Jesus and baptized into the Kingdom of God.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Ronald C. Kirkland of Jacksonville, FL; two sons, Eric Duane Kirkland of Jacksonville, FL and Ron Jr. Kirkland of Jacksonville, FL; three grandchildren, Keri Kirkland Carlisle, Matthew Kirkland and Rebecca Kirkland; two great-grandchildren, Zoe Carlisle and Emi Rose Carlisle; one brother, R.L. Worth of Douglas, GA along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Dave Sam Worth and mother, Mamie Snipes Worth.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the chapel of Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Lonnie Spikes officiating. Interment will follow at the City of Douglas Cemetery.
