ONE Compelling Picture proudly announces the official cast for its upcoming feature film Taksil, set to begin production on June 15, 2026, in Douglas. The film marks the fourth collaborative project between the Faith & Film Coalition and ONE Compelling Picture, continuing a growing movement to produce impactful, community-driven films across South Georgia.
The cast features Jelisia De’ (Teia English), Randy Murray Jr., David Miller, Isaiah Styles, Princess Haugebrook, and Erian Johnson—all proud natives of Coffee County—bringing authentic regional talent to the forefront of this powerful production.
Written by Pastor Sidney Bryant Sr., Taksil is a gripping action thriller that explores themes of loyalty, corruption, and the cost of power. Production will take place across multiple locations, including Coffee, Ben Hill, and Bacon counties, further highlighting the region’s growing presence in the independent film industry.
Through the Faith & Film Coalition, numerous local businesses have already committed their support to the production, providing essential resources such as meals for cast and crew, filming locations, specialty props, wardrobe, and vehicles. This collaboration reflects the community’s continued investment in building a sustainable film ecosystem in the region.
However, additional support is still needed. The production team is currently seeking access to vehicles, residential properties for filming, cargo trailers, and secure storage spaces for props and equipment throughout the duration of production.
Community members and businesses interested in contributing to the success of Taksil are encouraged to connect with the Faith & Film Coalition.
Here is a plot synopsis: When elite arson investigator Draco is murdered while uncovering a pattern of warehouse fires tied to a lucrative redevelopment scheme, his pregnant widow, Assistant District Attorney Victoria, refuses to accept the official story. Following Draco’s hidden evidence, she exposes a citywide conspiracy involving organized crime, political power, and millions in stolen land acquisitions.
Overseeing the investigation is Thomas Blackwell, Chief of the Office of Fire Investigation (OFI)—and Draco’s closest friend. Publicly, Blackwell presents himself as Victoria’s protector. Privately, he is the architect of the cover-up. Haunted by his own weaknesses and driven by fear of losing power, Blackwell has aligned himself with the city’s elite, using a hired arsonist to erase obstacles and silence threats—including Draco.
As Victoria closes in on the truth, Blackwell escalates from manipulation to violence, forcing her into a race against time to expose the conspiracy before she becomes its next victim.
Blending relentless suspense with emotional depth, Taksil is a gripping action thriller about loyalty corrupted, institutions for sale, and the devastating consequences of choosing power over friendship.
