Randall Dean Lanier Sr., age 76, of Douglas, GA, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2026 at his home. He was born on July 23, 1949, the son of the late Mr. Raymond Lanier and the late Mrs. Mary Etta Lanier.
His survivors include: his beloved wife, Tracy Alane Lanier of Douglas, GA; two children, Randall (Donna) Lanier Jr. of Douglas, GA and Melinn Lanier of Gainesville, FL; three grandchildren: Ashley (Cory) Elston of Douglas, GA, Paiden (Taylor) Lanier of Broxton, GA and Rowdy (Ruby) Lanier of Douglas, GA; eight great-grandchildren, Ryder, Rebel, Haven, Leighton, Hampton, Kason, Kagen and Kyler; one brother, Cecil (Lorene) Lanier of Kissimmee, FL; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: father, Raymond Lanier; mother, Mary Etta Lanier; two brothers, John Lanier and Everett Lanier; and one nephew, Jody Lanier.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM at St. Illa Baptist Church in Douglas, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at St. Illa Baptist Church, at 11:30 AM, with Pastor Terry Reagin of St. Illa Baptist Church in Douglas, GA, and Pastor Harold C. Stallworth Sr. of Friendship M.B. Church of St. Cloud Florida officiating. Interment will follow at St. Illa Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will include: Cory Elston, Ryder Elston, Paiden Lanier, Rowdy Lanier, Travis Goodson, and Trenton Goodson.
