The Coffee County School System is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Shannon Shook as the new Assistant Athletic Director for the district.
Dr. Shook brings more than 27 years of experience in education and athletics, beginning his career in 1999. A former student-athlete at Coffee High School, he continued his athletic career at Georgia Southern University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Kinesiology.
Committed to lifelong learning and educational leadership, Shook later earned a master’s degree in education from Troy State University and a doctorate degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University.
Throughout his career, Dr. Shook has served as a dedicated educator and accomplished multi-sport coach, positively impacting student-athletes both on and off the field. His leadership, passion for athletics, and commitment to student success have earned the respect of colleagues, students, and families alike.
As Assistant Athletic Director, Dr. Shook will support athletic operations across the district while working closely with coaches, administrators, student-athletes, and the community to continue strengthening Coffee County’s tradition of athletic excellence.
The Coffee County School System looks forward to the leadership and experience Shook will bring to the district’s athletic programs.
