Deputies arrested a Douglas man for misuse of 911 after he allegedly called the emergency number to report that someone said she was going to report him for sexual assault.
According to a report from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, on May 10, 2026, two deputies responded to a Jasmine Drive address to meet a complainant. The officer met with Dovine Wesley Adams, 55, of Douglas. The report states that Adams told him that the previous night, his roommate, a female, had told him she was going to report him for sexual assault.
The officers arrested Adams for misuse of 911 and transported him to the Coffee County Jail. He was later released on a $1,730 property bond.
