Odie needs your help. As badly as any dog has ever needed any help.
Odie is a four-year-old mix currently in the care of Coffee Cause for Paws. Though he’s being cared for, he is in constant pain and needs extensive medical treatment.
Odie has suffered multiple serious injuries. While the exact cause of these injuries remains unknown, it is suspected that at least one injury was caused by humans while the other was likely the result of being hit by a car.
Odie’s jaw has been broken, likely due to abuse from people. As such, his jaw hangs open and he cannot keep his tongue in his mouth. He also limps badly due to a hip injury that probably happened when he was struck by a vehicle.
The poor pup was also infested with fleas and was itching terribly.
Odie is currently receiving some attention but it’s not what he needs. Odie will require a variety of procedures, including diagnostics, surgeries, and ongoing care. His medical expenses are going to be significant.
According to the Coffee Cause for Paws Facebook page, Odie’s plight is one of the most serious the organization has ever seen. And yet despite it all, Odie is grateful the care and attention he has received. He is doing better but he will not fully enjoy his new life until his injuries are treated.
