In an exciting development for the City of Alma and the local community, executive producers from ONE Compelling Picture (OCP), in collaboration with the Faith & Film Coalition Collaborative (FFCC), recently met with city officials to finalize plans for filming the upcoming feature film “Taksil.” As part of the collaborative agreement, Alma’s downtown district will serve as a key filming location for this suspense-filled production.
“Taksil” is an action thriller that follows elite arson investigator Draco, who is murdered while probing a series of warehouse fires linked to a corrupt redevelopment scheme. His pregnant widow, Assistant District Attorney Victoria, uncovers a deadly conspiracy involving organized crime, political leaders, and stolen land deals. Leading the investigation is Draco’s closest friend, Thomas Blackwell, Chief of the Office of Fire Investigation, who secretly orchestrates the cover-up. As Victoria gets closer to the truth, she must confront Blackwell’s escalating violence in a gripping story of betrayal, corruption, and the price of loyalty.
On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, the production will film a full honors funeral procession through Alma’s downtown corridor. The scene will feature a bagpipe player, horse-drawn casket carriage, fire trucks, police vehicles, funeral limousines, and a fire department color guard.
To accommodate filming, 12th Street between Public Safety Drive and South Thomas Street will have temporary road closures and limited parking for approximately four hours.
Local residents will have the opportunity to participate as extras, providing a unique chance to be part of a major film production. “Taksil” is expected to stream on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and other major streaming platforms upon release.
“Taksil” is the fifth production under the partnership between ONE Compelling Picture and the Faith & Film Coalition Collaborative. This collaboration enables filmmakers to work closely with local communities to produce faith-based films on modest budgets while delivering high-quality cinematic experiences that weave messages of Jesus Christ throughout their stories.
