James Hunter “Day Day” Taylor, age 20, of Nashville, GA, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 5, 2026. He was born on December 23, 2005, the son of Mr. James Stacy Taylor and Jeri W. Barrs.
His survivors include his father, James Stacy (Brooke) Taylor of Nashville, GA; mother, Jeri W. Barrs; two brothers, Jay Rowe of Douglas, GA and Shawn Taylor of Douglas, GA; two sisters, Shanlee (Dakota) Taylor of Douglas, GA and Zanoviah Trotter of Barrian, CO; grandparents, Whalen and Sharon Taft of West Green, GA; grandmother, Jean Graham of Douglas, GA; one nephew, Kane Corbitt; two nieces, Cameron Rayne Rowe and Natalee Brooke Dedmond; along with aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, James Taylor; grandmother, Inez Graham; grandfather, Jerry Wayne Barrs; and uncle, Charles Graham.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the chapel of Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Lee Moore and Rev. Jimmy Tanner officiating. Interment will follow at Cavalry Full Gospel Tabernacle in West Green, GA.
Active pallbearers will include Shawn Taylor, Jay Rowe, Cameron Lee, Dakota Corbitt, Brandon fender, and J.T. Lott.
Honorary pallbearers will include Eizo Tobler, Ricky Jordan, and Berry Carter.
Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
