A slew of first responders converged on George Deen Road earlier this week to investigate a side-by-side accident involving three juveniles. All three were transported to Coffee Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident occurred on June 22, 2026, at approximately 4:20 p.m. and involved a 2023 Polaris Ranger XD. According to an incident report from the Georgia State Patrol, the Ranger was traveling west on George Deen Road when it began to spin in the eastbound lane of the road. The vehicle traveled 70 feet across both lanes of traffic. It left the road then went into the south ditch for another 50 feet while spinning clockwise. The Ranger then flipped in the ditch, striking a culvert before coming to a rest on all four tires, the report says.
The three occupants, all juveniles ages 11 to 16, were thrown from the Ranger. The report states that all three of the occupants stated that the passenger in the middle grabbed “and abruptly turned” the steering wheel, causing the accident. None of the occupants were wearing their seatbelts, according to the report.
All three were transported to Coffee Regional Medical Center for treatment.
