Vicki Lewis, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Coffee Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Douglas, was installed as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Hospital Association (GHA) at the association’s Annual Meeting of the Assembly on July 9. Lewis was elected to the role of Chair-Elect in 2025 and assumes the role of Chair following her service over the past year.
Lewis has served on the GHA Board since 2019 and will lead the Board in fulfilling its mission to shape a healthier Georgia by serving as the leading advocate and supporter for all Georgia hospitals and health systems.

Lewis has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Coffee Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Douglas, Georgia, since 2014. Under her leadership, CRMC has experienced significant growth, achieving numerous national and state-level recognitions for safety, quality, and innovation. The hospital has earned seven consecutive A’s from The Leapfrog Group and has focused consistently on improved outcomes and patient experience. With a mission to provide exceptional care and wellness close to home, CRMC continues to expand vital service lines to meet the evolving needs of the community.
She has led the development of key initiatives including the establishment of an Internal Medicine Residency Program, the expansion of outpatient services throughout the region, and the achievement of national and state accreditations in cancer care, interventional cardiology, maternity care, bariatric surgery and stroke readiness. With a focus on operational excellence, clinical quality, and a compassionate patient experience, she continues to strengthen CRMC’s role as a trusted regional healthcare provider.
A dedicated advocate for rural health, Vicki was honored in 2024 by the American Hospital Association as a Grass Roots Champion for Rural Healthcare. Lewis served on the AHA Region 4 Policy Board from 2021-2024 and is actively engaged at both the state and national level, working to shape policies that support healthcare access and sustainability in rural communities.
Prior to joining CRMC, Lewis held executive leadership and CEO roles within the Aurora Health Care system in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the OhioHealth system in Columbus, Ohio.
Lewis earned a Master of Science degree from Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University. She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
