Douglas Rotary Club recognized Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Business Management Jeffery Johnson as the student of the month for August 2026. Mr. Johnson is studying Business Management and was singled out by the faculty for his achievements. A veteran of the US Army who served deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq, Mr. Johnson works with P & M Trucking. Joining him at the Rotary meeting were his business instructor Shanna Calhoun and Dean Kelly Peacock.
Douglas Rotary is a service organization seeking to advance the service ideals of Rotary International by investing time and resources in programs for children and youth, community development, disease prevention, family support, environmental health, and leadership development. Rotary meets on Thursdays from noon to 1 pm at the South Georgia State College Dining Hall in Douglas.
