November seems like a long way off but much closer than you may realize. Here are some important deadlines for the November 3, 2026, general election.
- 2026 general election registration deadline: October 5, 2026
- Absentee by mail: August 17, 2026 to October 23, 2026 (ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. on election day)
- Advance in-person voting: October 13, 2026 to October 30, 2026. Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Includes Saturday, October 17, 2026 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and October 24, 2026 (same time). E
- Election day: November 3, 2026
Advance voting will take place at the elections office on West Ashley Street. A sample ballot can be found at mvp.sos.ga.gov.
