The South Georgia State College Competitive Rodeo Club is preparing to hit the road this fall for its 2026 season, with five rodeos scheduled across Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas and Kentucky.
Following the inaugural season, the Hawks will continue building momentum as students in the rodeo program represent SGSC throughout the region and compete against collegiate rodeo programs from across the country.
The Fall 2026 season opens Sept. 17-19 at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri. The Hawks will then travel to the University of West Alabama in Livingston, Alabama, Sept. 24-26 before competing at the University of Arkansas-Monticello Oct. 1-3.
October competition continues with a trip to Missouri State University-West Plains in West Plains, Missouri, Oct. 8-10. SGSC will close out its fall schedule Nov. 19-21 at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky.
The Rodeo Club provides SGSC students with an opportunity to participate in collegiate rodeo while pursuing their education. The program has also helped expand student life at the college and connect SGSC with the strong agricultural and rodeo traditions found throughout South Georgia.
As the program enters another season, SGSC students in the rodeo program will continue developing their skills in competition while representing the College both in and out of the arena.
