Patricia Ann Taylor, age 81, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. She was born on December 8, 1944, to the late Joe and Mamie “Tot” Gillis Taylor.
Patricia is survived by: one brother: Joseph Lee Taylor Jr. (Lisa) of Waycross, Georgia; seven nieces and nephews: Janet G. Frieden (David) of Snellville, Georgia, Beverly Bearden (Doug) of Walaska, Georgia, Deborah G. Westenfield (Jim) of Douglas, Georgia, Joseph Lee Taylor III (Grey) of Fletcher, North Carolina, Marie Seay (Wes) of Macon, Georgia, Paul Taylor (Tiffany) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Lisa Beaty (Dennis) of Palatka, Florida; one uncle: Daniel M. Gillis (Linda) of Phenix City, Alabama; one aunt: Joyce Gillis of Nicholls, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by: one sister: Joneil Jarvis; one uncle: D. J. “Bugg” Gillis; one nephew: Wade Jarvis.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Axson, Georgia, from 10 a.m.–11 a.m.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Mount Zion Baptist Church, Axson, Georgia, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Walter James officiating. The interment will follow the service at the Stokesville Baptist Church Cemetery.
