November is the perfect time to take the next step toward a college education as South Georgia State College (SGSC) brings back its annual No Fee November initiative. From November 1 through November 30, prospective students can apply to SGSC without paying the application fee, making it easier to explore the opportunities available at one of Georgia’s most affordable colleges.
“At South Georgia State College, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to pursue a college education,” said Dr. Greg Tanner, president of SGSC. “No Fee November is one more way we can make that opportunity accessible to students and families throughout our region. With affordable tuition, personalized attention, and programs designed to prepare students for their futures, SGSC is committed to helping students succeed from the moment they begin their college journey.”
SGSC offers more than 20 associate degree pathways designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year institution, along with five bachelor’s degree programs in Biological Sciences, Elementary/Special Education, Management, Mechanical Engineering Technology, and Nursing. The College also continues to build on its commitment to meeting regional workforce needs through academic opportunities such as the returning Agriculture Pathway.
Students benefit from small class sizes, dedicated faculty, personalized advising, and a variety of academic support services. Beyond the classroom, SGSC provides opportunities for students to become involved in campus life through student organizations, leadership activities, athletics, and growing programs such as the Rodeo Club.
With campuses in Douglas and Waycross, as well as online learning opportunities, SGSC offers flexibility for students with different educational needs. The Douglas Campus provides a traditional college experience with on-campus housing, dining, and student activities, while the Waycross Campus offers a convenient and supportive setting for students who prefer to commute.
Applying during No Fee November is simple. Prospective students can complete the online application at https://apply.sgsc.edu/ anytime from November 1 through November 30. The application fee will be waived automatically, and no promotional code is necessary.
