Thursday afternoon, agents from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and officers from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office arrested Donsheldon Lowe, 29, of College Park, in Douglas.

Lowe has an extensive and violent criminal record. He was considered dangerous and the agents and officers involved in the takedown treated the operation as such. Law enforcement swarmed the parking lot on the west side of the Harvey’s complex on West Ward Street around 3:30 p.m. Thursday and swiftly took Lowe into custody. At the time of his arrest, Lowe was working for a private security company based out of East Point, Ga.

News reports from the metro Atlanta area describe some of Lowe’s past run-ins with the law. Most notably, he was allegedly involved in a May 9, 2022, carjacking in Clayton County. Lowe and three others were arrested for their alleged involvement on July 12, 2022, in Clayton County. Authorities involved in the 2022 operation described dealing with Lowe and his associates as “very risky” and referred to them as dangerous.

It remains unclear how Lowe ended up in Douglas. He was booked into the Coffee County Jail Thursday afternoon and is will be sent back to Clayton County.
