The Douglas-Coffee County Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with Night Light Outdoor Cinema to bring a movie in the park to the Wheeler Park ball field on Saturday, July 19, beginning at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend a free viewing of the movie, “Despicable Me 2.”

The event was originally reported to be taking place Thursday, July 17, and city officials are attempting to correct the error by providing this update.

“We want to encourage citizens to use our parks to help them maintain healthy lifestyles,” says city manager Terrell Jacobs. “We hope that by presenting this program in the park, we will see an increased awareness of all that our parks have to offer.”

Concessions will be provided at a small cost.

For more information, please call the Douglas-Coffee County Parks and Recreation Office at (912) 384-5978.
