Mrs. Deborah Joanne Anderson Gallahan, age 63, of Cumming, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, at her residence following a brief illness.Mrs. Gallahan was born December 31, 1950, to the late Frank Augustus Anderson and Florence Moore Anderson.

Mrs. Gallahan, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, was a LPN with the Cherokee County Correctional System. She also had a BA Degree in Computer Science. She was preceded in death by a sister, Frankie Calender.

Survivors include two sons, Shane Russ of Hampton, Virginia, and Derek Russ of Woodstock;  one sister, Joan Anderson of Douglas; her mother, Florence Moore Anderson of West Green; two grandchildren, Danielle Whitehurst and Cameron Russ, both of Hampton, Virginia; a special friend, Jeff Kemp of Gainesville; several nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 4 p.m. at the West Green Baptist Church.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
