On July 26, 2014, Annie Mercer Wright, age 89, passed from this world into heaven where she joined her husband, Loring Wright, and son, David (Hammy) Wright. Though she battled dementia for the past 10 years, we know that she has won the good fight in life. Annie loved the Lord with all her heart and soul and even wrote in her family bible, “Lord, who will be next? And will they be ready?” We know that when it was her time, she was ready. She was always quick to hug and kiss. When you knew Annie, you always knew that you were loved. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her son, Buddy Wright (Brenda); grandchildren, Lorna Lawrence (Paul), Rendy Mcknelly (Steve), Michele Reichart (Chris), David Wright (Shelly); devoted daughter-in-law, Pat Wright (Hammy) and nine great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at Tanner Baptist Church Cemetery near, Douglas, GA on Saturday, August 2 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be at Sims Funeral Home at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 2, 2014.
