Mrs. Doris Lee Waldroup Taylor, age 85 of Nicholls, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014, at St. Vincents Hospital in Jacksonville, FL following a brief illness. She was born October 23, 1928, in Alma to William Taylor and Mattie Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Royce Earl Waldroup and Jimmy Lee Taylor.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald E. (Carolyn) Waldroup and Roy H (Kathy) Waldroup both of Nicholls; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs Taylor will be held Monday, August 4, 2014, from 6-9 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home, with Rev. L. G. Aldridge officiating.

Interment will follow at Chatterton Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
