Helen McKinnon, age 74, of West Green, GA passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014, following an extended illness. Mrs. McKinnon was born on April 22, 1940, in Hazlehurst, GA to the late Ivy Rowell and Lola Bell Lewis Rowell.

Survivors include: her husband, Aubrey McKinnon of West Green, GA; two sons, Randall (Vicki) McKinnon of Douglas, GA and Randy (Janice) McKinnon of West Green, GA; daughter, Sabrina (Dennis) Chambers of Fitzgerald, GA; two grandsons, John (Joe Cornelius) McKinnon of Douglas, GA and Britt (Donna) McKinnon of Waxahachie, TX; granddaughter, Jessica McKinnon of Savannah, GA; five sisters, Trelis Moore of Douglas, GA, Evelyn Kroke of North Dakota, Jeannie Cornin and Ronni Morgan both of Savannah, GA; two brothers, Roger Rowell and Wildon Rowell both of Jacksonville, FL; special friend, Juanell and Cleon Carver of West Green, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Burkett Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Lee officiating. Music is furnished for the service by Kaitlyn Moore “Amazing Grace”, Harold Vickers “How Great Thou Art”, and Congregation “I’ll Fly Away” with Wanda Mobley playing the piano. Active Pallbearers are: Jerry Kirkland, Keith Harrell, Randy Harrell, Bobby Davis, Ken Hersey, and Randy Moore. Interment followed at Burkett Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
