According to a report from the City of Douglas Police Department, another pizza delivery driver fell victim to armed robbers last week.

Police responded to Hungry Howie’s Pizza, 618 N. Peterson Ave., last Tuesday at around 11: 30 p.m. in reference to an armed robbery that had just occurred.

The vicitm, a 20-year-old delivery driver, told authorities that, while he was out on a delivery, someone approached him while he was in his vehicle and asked about  the price of the pizza. While the two were conversing, the victim said, the alleged offender brandished a bat and stated, “Give it up, this is a robbery,”.

The victim went on to say two more offenders were present during the incident and the three fled the scene with the pizza, a undisclosed amount of cash, a cell phone, and the victim’s wallet.

Douglas police continue to investigate the matter.
