Norma Luke, age 93, of Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Southern Senior Living following an extended illness. Mrs. Luke was born on August 10, 1921, in Broxton, GA to the late William Floyd Lewis and Emma Jane Merritt Lewis. Mrs. Luke was the oldest member of Satilla Baptist Church at the time of her death. She retired in 1973 from the local telephone company after 30 years of service.

Survivors include: her two sons, Jerry (Judy) Spikes of Douglas, GA and Joe (Sissy) Spikes of Ormond Beach, FL; four grandchildren, Mark (April) Spikes of Douglas, GA, Chip Spikes of Douglas, GA, Kelly (Jesse) Lindsley of Fayetteville, GA, and Joe (Sue) Spikes, Jr. of Cave Creek, AZ; five great grandchildren, Addy Spikes of Douglas, GA, Jackson Spikes of Douglas, GA, Kristina Spikes of Cave Creek, AZ, Brayden Spikes of Cave Creek, AZ, and Aria Lindsley of ayetteville, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the Staff at Southern Senior Living.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Luke, four brothers, and a sister. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 10:00 AM until the service hour at 11:00 AM at Satilla Baptist Church with Rev. William Pope officiating. Interment will follow at Satilla Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
