Satilla Regional Library System offers myriad of opportunities for area youth in March

Satilla Regional Library will be holding the following programs during the month of March for children, tweens, and teens. 

Audio Spot Auditions for Children and Teens Ages 9-18 years

Come audition for a public service announcement to possibly be played on the radio promoting our new children’s and young adult books. Auditions will be held at all locations in Douglas, Broxton, Ambrose, Pearson, Willacoochee, and Nicholls. Please call Miss Julie at (912) 384-4667 ext. 222 to schedule an appointment at any of our locations.

Board Games, Cards, and Puzzles for Children and Teens

All branches include an assortment of board games, cards, and puzzles that can be played at any time. Come and check one out to use at each location.

Satilla Regional Library at the Children’s Art Festival

Satilla Regional Library will be having a booth at this event at Central Square Gym B. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Come see us at the Children’s Art Festival and learn more about our bookmark art contest and more.

Children’s Events

Story and Craft Program at all locations!!

Douglas: Monday, March 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30 at 3:30 p.m.
Broxton: Tuesday, March 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 at 3:30 p.m.
Ambrose: Tuesday, March 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 at 4:45 p.m.
Pearson: Wednesday, March 4, 11, 18, and 25 at 3:30 p.m.
Willacoochee: Wednesday, March 4, 11, 18, and 25 at 4:45 p.m.
Nicholls: Thursday, March 5, 12, 19 and 26 at 3:30 p.m.

Nicholls Tween Book and Craft Group

Come to the Nicholls Public Library for our Tween Book and Craft Group. Come read and discuss stories with other tweens (9-12 years) and make some awesome crafts.

Dates:  Thursday, March 5, 12, 19 and 26 at 4:45 p.m.

Douglas Pajama Story time

Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.

Come visit the Douglas-Coffee County Children’s Room for stories in your pajamas. You are welcome to bring a stuffed animal and blanket. This is held once a month on Saturday.

Toddler Story time and Playtime in Douglas

Toddler story time will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the Douglas-Coffee County Public Library for ages 18 months-3 years old in the Children’s Room. An adult must be with the young child at all times.  

Dates:  Wednesday, March 4, 11, 18, and 25.

Broxton: Monday, March 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30 at 4:30 p.m.
Willacoochee: Saturday, March 7, 2015  at 12:30 p.m.
Friday, March 13, 2015 at 4:30 p.m.

Broxton: Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 4:30 p.m.
Pearson: Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 12:30 p.m.
Willacoochee: Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. , Friday, March 27, 2015 at 4:30 p.m.  
 
Teen Events

Douglas Teen Insurgent Party

Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 12:00-2:30 p.m.
This event will be held at the Douglas-Coffee County Public Library in the Large Meeting Room! There will be food, fun, movies, prizes, and crafts!! Fun for teens.

Pearson Teen Insurgent Party

Friday, March 20, 2015 from 4:00-6:30 p.m.
This event will be held at the Pearson Public Library in the Multi-Purpose Room.
There will be food, fun, movies, prizes, and crafts. Fun for teens.

Douglas Teen Advisory Group Meetings

Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11:30 a.m.
Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:30 a.m.  

These meetings are held in Douglas for teens that want to have a great time with other teens planning teen library programs, young adult reads, fun activities, opportunities for volunteering, and taking a leadership role!! Come join us for these teen meetings.
