John Herbert Cato, Jr., age 64, of Nicholls, GA passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Cato was born on February 19, 1951, in Atlanta, GA to Evelyn Williams Cato and the late John Herbert Cato, Sr.

Survivors include: his mother, Evelyn Cato of Nicholls, GA; special family friends, Dwight Kirkland of Douglas, GA, Norman Smith of Nicholls, GA, and Earl Cagle, Jr. of Augusta, GA; aunt, Marion Williams Lengen of Lawrenceville, GA, first cousins, Janice Harben (Alan) of Lawrenceville, GA and Richard Lindsey of Mt. Shasta, CA; and second cousins, Matt Williams and Tim Harben.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Kirkland officiating.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
