Douglas native and current Valdosta attorney Amy Holbrook was recently selected as a board member for the General Practice and Trial Law Section of the State Bar Association of Georgia. The General Practice and Trial Law Section proclaims itself as “Georgia’s Largest Law Firm.” It is one of the largest sections of the State Bar of Georgia, bringing together practitioners from all across the state. Amy will represent District 2 on the Board for the 2015-2016 term.
Amy attended Valdosta State University, where she received her undergraduate degree in Political Science. During her time at Valdosta State University, she served on the university’s judicial board and was community service chairman for Phi Mu Sorority.
Amy attended law school at the University of Georgia, where she served as notes editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. She was also a Dean’s Ambassador.
After graduating from law school, Amy practiced in the areas of business and commercial litigation in Albany, Georgia before relocating to Valdosta. Amy served as President of the Young Lawyers Division of the Dougherty Circuit Bar Association in 2012 and is currently a Middle District Representative for the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia.
Amy is a member of the the State Bar of Georgia, the Valdosta Bar Association, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. She is a board member for the General Practice and Trial Law Section of the State Bar Association of Georgia. She is admitted to practice in the Georgia Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Georgia.
Amy practices with the law firm of Langdale Vallotton, LLP in Valdosta in the area of civil litigation, representing individuals and businesses in litigation. She also represents clients in complex business transactions, collection matters, and in bankruptcy court if necessary.
