Deputies from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office arrested and jailed a woman who allegedly busted into a home on McKinnon Road, damaging the home and property inside, according to a report from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred on April 12, 2026, at around 2:45 a.m. When officers arrived, the complainant said that she had gotten into a confrontation with Daiyonnia Howard, 27, of Douglas. The incident occurred over laundry, according to the report.
Howard allegedly kicked in the door, damaging the door jamb. She also damaged a bed frame, punched a hole in the wall, damaged a television valued at $2,500, and damaged a smaller TV in the kitchen valued at $80, according to the report.
Howard was not at the scene when officers arrived. Deputies began looking for her. However, just before 4:30 a.m., Howard returned to the area and a deputy found her standing by a stop sign near the home.
She was arrested and charged with criminal trespass – family violence and criminal damage to property – 2nd degree. On the way to the jail, the report states that she ultimately admitted to damaging property inside the home.
Howard was booked into the Coffee County Jail and later released on bond — $5,500 for the criminal damage to property charge and $500 for the criminal trespass charge.
