Alice Fussell Ward, age 89, of Douglas passed away on Tuesday afternoon November 12, 2019 after an extended illness at Lakeside Senior Living in Douglas. Mrs. Ward was born on October 5, 1930 in Atkinson County, the daughter of the late William Dennis Fussell and the late Matilda Gillis Fussell. She worked as a secretary for the Coffee County Board of Education for twenty-two years and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Carver was born on July 4, 1939 in Atkinson County, the son of the late John Henry Carver and Emma Lee Lowe Carver. Deacon Marvin B. (Bocephus) McIver of Wray passed suddenly on Saturday, March 16, 2019 in Valdosta. He is the son of the late Rev. John McIver, Sr. and the late Maggie Bell Stewart McIver.He is survived by his wife, Denise McIver; his children Mitchell and MeKayla McIver and grandson Brett McIver. Several sisters and brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Pridgen Baptist Church in Pridgen, Georgia with Rev.
