Aaron Gibson, 28, of Douglas, has been arrested after he allegedly punched two family members, including his 6-year-old niece, after his aunt denied him $5 to purchase marijuana. The incident report states that around 7:04 p.m. on February 7, an officer responded to a house on South Pearl Avenue regarding an active domestic dispute. Dispatchers told the officer that a woman inside the home reported that her nephew, Gibson, hit her in the face and the 6-year-old in the head. Tyler Reid Spell, the manager of the Dollar General store in Denton, has been arrested and charged with theft by taking after allegedly stealing over $40,000 in deposits from the store. On Friday, February 10, 2023 Jeff Davis County deputies and investigators were dispatched to the Dollar General store in Denton. Officers met with a loss prevention officer who had been contacted by the cash audit department of Dollar General. Toni Roxanne Davis, 45, of Douglas, has been arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine. According to a report, officers served a search warrant at the house at 637 Taylor Circle after getting reports of possible drug activity at the location. Davis was at the house at the time of the search. Officers discovered 33 grams of methamphetamine. According to Georgia law, 28 grams of methamphetamine constitutes trafficking. Davis was charged with trafficking methamphetamine and transported to the Coffee County Jail. She has not been released as of Wednesday morning.
