Lace, as he was known to all, was a lifelong resident of Willacoochee, Georgia. He was born October 13, 1938, the son of Clarence and Effie Futch and was one of seven children. A local 20-year-old is now facing serious charges after he allegedly assaulted his mother by hitting her with a silver pot approximately 30 times and choking her for several minutes. The suspect, Tydarius Lester of Douglas, referred to himself as “the God and the Devil” during the reported attack. A physical altercation between two female coworkers at Diamond Cargo led to the arrest of 35-year-old Jessica Thomilson after she allegedly stabbed her coworker, 39-year-old Kristan “Peaches” High, in the leg with a razor knife. Cindy Youngblood, a Coffee County woman who pleaded guilty to attempting to have her husband killed in 2016, recently filed a motion asking the judge to reduce her 15-year sentence based upon a “procedural change in the law.” On Thursday morning, Judge Andy Spivey denied Youngblood’s motion, stating the argument did not apply to her case, ordering her to complete the remaining nine years of her sentence in prison.
