Coffee County authorities are searching for two vehicles recently reported stolen and are hoping the public can help. The first vehicle was reported stolen from Midway Trucking and is described as a white, 2002 Chevrolet 4×4 truck (pictured below). The golf cart pictured above was taken from the Baymeadows area. Anyone with information regarding the location of these vehicles, or the person or persons responsible for the thefts, is asked to contact the Coffee County Sheriffs Office at (912)384-4227. Ware County sheriff’s officials and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are searching for a 31-year-old man they say is a person of interest in a murder that occurred last weekend. The body of 28-year-old Adam Noel was found inside a residence he shared with an individual identified as Zeb Hall Murray off Sawdust Trail in Waycross Saturday afternoon. Ware County officials stated the victim apparently died as a result of blunt force trauma. Murray is described as a white male, approximately 5’9″, 160 lbs., with brown hair. Alma police reported Friday the arrest of one man after authorities discovered a significant amount of methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, weapons, and other drug paraphernalia. Officers arrested 22-year-old Sabron Mosby of Alma Thursday evening at 104 Mullis Drive following a brief investigation. Authorities say officers discovered one pound of suspected marijuana (contained within 25 separate packages), 15 packages of suspected crystal methamphetamine, 11 packages of suspected cocaine, several sets of digital scales, a ‘bong,’ a Taurus .40 caliber handgun (laser-equipped), and a Smith & Wesson .32 caliber revolver during the investigation.
Alma police issued an emergency alert just before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday for a missing nine-year-old boy. Authorities say Michael Anthony (Mike) Dixon was last seen by his siblings around 8 a.m. wearing blue shorts and a gray and white shirt. Dixon is a black male, approximately 4’0″, 60 to 80 lbs., with short black hair. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, along with local authorities, is investigating the deaths of a Coffee County couple found dead in their home Friday. Officials discovered the bodies of Donald and Linda Morris after receiving a call to check on the two at a house on Trellis Dr., which is located in an area off Cross Rd. north of Douglas. Authorities have released little information regarding the investigation, including casuses of death, but the bodies of the couple have been taken to the GBI’s medical examiner’s office for autopsies. Douglas police arrested a man Thursday they say is responsible for two armed store robberies that occurred last week. Officers responded to an armed robbery at the Flash Foods store on N. Peterson Ave. last Saturday, June 25, and another similar incident at Clyde’s Market on the Willacoochee Hwy. the following Sunday, June 26. Witnesses reported an individual entered both locations wearing similar clothing and approached store clerks in the same manner, placing his right hand in his jacket pocket as if he had a weapon and demanding money. Douglas police released video footage Tuesday of a recent robbery at Clyde’s Market on the Willacoochee Hwy. and are hoping the suspect’s image, mannerisms and voice will lead them to the perpetrator. Officers responded to the robbery on June 26, where it was reported an individual entered the store wearing a dark hooded jacket, blue jeans, and black gloves. The individual had his face covered with a black mask or cloth. The store clerk told authorities he observed the shape of what he believed to be a gun in the individual’s hand inside his pocket. Alma police reported Monday night the remaining suspect in a murder that took place earlier this month has been arrested and is now in custody. Just after 9 a.m. Monday morning, June 27, 21-year-old Keitric McCaskey was arrested by the Jesup Police Department after officers conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Hwy 84 S. and located McCaskey in the vehicle. McCaskey is one of three suspects charged with the murder of 30-year-old Tony Overstreet, Jr., all of whom are currently incarcerated.
