A Coffee County jail inmate who walked off a work detail on Friday was located by authorities Saturday morning and is back behind bars. Coffee County Sheriff Doyle Wooten stated that Tramal Ray Dailey was found in Atkinson County after officials conducted an all-night search of the area. Dailey was observed operating a four-wheeler by Atkinson County Sheriff David Moore, who recognized and followed him. Coffee County sheriff’s authorities are reporting an inmate walked off from a work detail Friday morning and are asking the public’s assistance in their attempts to locate him. The inmate, identified as Tramal Ray Dailey, is a white male, 6’02” in height, 190lbs , with brown hair and blue eyes. Dailey was being held on a felony probation warrant and was awaiting a revocation hearing due to several technical violations while on probation. One suspect was detained, while two others were able to avoid apprehension following a residential burglary Thursday morning in Douglas. Police responded to a home on Ethel St. after receiving a call from a complainant who stated a house was being burglarized and the offender(s) was possibly still on the scene. When authorities arrived, three suspects attempted to flee on foot. A Douglas police officer was able to stop and detain one of them, who was identified as Markavius Paulk. A Douglas woman who was suspected of attempting to steal items from Wal-Mart was also charged with two counts of narcotic possession last week after authorities discovered she was also carrying controlled substances. On November 24, the Douglas Police Department responded to Wal-Mart in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Officers were advised by Wal-Mart Loss Prevention that Wanda Marie Moore had attempted to leave the store without paying for all of the items in her shopping cart. Seventeen people lost their lives on Georgia highways during the Thanksgiving holiday travel period which began Wednesday and ran through Sunday evening. Of those, four were from Coffee County. On Thanksgiving Day, 22-year-old Nicole Torpea was killed as the result of a head-on collision that occurred in Candler County. A Douglas man was arrested and jailed last week on two counts of endangering a child after authorities say he was driving under the influence of alcohol with two minors in his vehicle. Law enforcement initiated a traffic stop on 33-year-old Jamie Evans Thomas on Nov. 21 just after 6 a.m. on U.S. Hwy. 441 S. in the area of Covenant Church for a minor traffic infraction.
