An individual who was in court Thursday for a child custody hearing fled the courthouse after learning he had an active misdemeanor bench warrant. The subject, identified as Brandon Anthony Morgan, was apprehended a short distance away without incident, according to a release from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office. Shortly after 1 p.m. on Thursday, units from multiple agencies converged on the courthouse after Morgan fled. On September 15, 2024 at about 1:30 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2009 Jeep Liberty that didn’t have headlights on.
