A fight inside a moving vehicle led to a variety of charges, including battery and illegal drug charges. According to an incident report obtained from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, a detective saw a man and a woman fighting inside a vehicle traveling on Bowens Mill Road on May 11. On May 15, officers from the Coffee County Drug Unit caught a suspect attempting to flush illegal drugs down the toilet while serving a warrant. An incident report from the sheriff’s office states that while serving the warrant on Wright, the officers found him flushing marijuana and cocaine down the toilet. They also found an additional quantity of suspected cocaine and a suspected oxycodone tablet in the bathroom as well as digital scales. The report says that the amounts of the drugs indicated they were for distribution. Wright was arrested and charged with possession of a…

Three juveniles have been arrested after allegedly robbing people who thought they were meeting to buy an iPhone. A 16-year-old and a 13-year-old were also charged with firearms charges. According to a press release posted on the Douglas Police Department’s Facebook page, last month, the Douglas Police Department received several reports of individuals being robbed.
