The GBI has arrested and charged Indian Creek Elementary School principal Anastagia Carter, 51, of Douglas, Georgia, with two counts of 1st Degree Cruelty to a Child, two counts of 3rd Degree Cruelty to a Child, two counts of False Imprisonment, and two counts of Simple Battery stemming from incidents that occurred at Indian Creek Elementary School. The GBI was requested by the Coffee County Board of Education Police Department after they received information regarding an incident between Carter and a student. Mitchell Paulk, 36, has been arrested on multiple charges after he reportedly assaulted a female, eventually threatening to drown her in a bathtub. According to the incident report, a 5-year-old and another child under a year old were in the home at the time of the alleged assault. The report states that on February 13, an officer was dispatched to a residence regarding a possible domestic dispute. Rebecca Grennell, 31, has been arrested and charged in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation after deputies found a car she had borrowed in the woods. The car had been sprayed with black spray paint. According to an incident report, on February 15, the owner of the car reported the vehicle stolen. Wallace Newell, 62, of Ambrose, has been arrested after Broxton police officers found methamphetamine in his truck during a traffic stop. On February 14, a Broxton police officer reported that he saw Newell driving through town without a seatbelt on. The officer stopped Newell at Alabama Street and the Broxton-Fitzgerald Highway. During the stop, the officer reported that Newell appeared anxious and nervous. The officer called a K9 unit to assist and the dog alerted on the vehicle. Allen Clay, 31, has been arrested and faces illegal drug charges after detectives with the Douglas Police Department searched his home. The incident report states that officers found methamphetamine, molly, and marijuana. On February 6, officers received a tip that Clay may be selling drugs out of his home.
