Toni Roxanne Davis, 45, of Douglas, has been arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine. According to a report, officers served a search warrant at the house at 637 Taylor Circle after getting reports of possible drug activity at the location. Davis was at the house at the time of the search. Officers discovered 33 grams of methamphetamine. According to Georgia law, 28 grams of methamphetamine constitutes trafficking. Davis was charged with trafficking methamphetamine and transported to the Coffee County Jail. She has not been released as of Wednesday morning.

Sherry Lundy, 50, of Douglas, has been charged with animal cruelty after deputies allegedly discovered two malnourished dogs living in cages full of feces. According to an incident report, deputies responded to Lundy’s home on Tyson Road after getting a report that there were dogs in poor health on the property. When deputies arrived, they found the dogs in two tiny homemade pens. The pens were full of feces and the deputies reported that they could smell the cages from pretty far away. Bessie V. Trowell, 67, of Hazlehurst, has been arrested and charged in connection with a $16.8 million Publishers Clearing House scam in Lynn Haven, Florida, according to a post on the Lynn Haven Police Department’s Facebook page. The post states that the scam defrauded a Lynn Haven victim of more than $9,000. According to the post, the investigation began on January 28, 2023, when the victim reported to police that they had sent checks and funds via Green Dot pre-paid cards after having received a call telling them that they had won a $16.8 million dollar prize from…

Tarka Shamar Moody, 44, has been arrested and hit with a variety of charges following a search of his house in Nicholls. According to a copy of the incident report, on February 8, detectives executed a search warrant on Moody at his house, located at 231 Forest Ridge Road in Nicholls. The GBI has arrested Georgia Department of Corrections Warden Brian Dennis Adams, age 48, of Waycross, and charged him with Conspiracy to Violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act (Georgia RICO Act), Bribery, False Statements and Violation of Oath by Public Officer.
