The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individual(s) responsible for a recent burglary at True Praise Baptist Church, located in the Oak Park area of Coffee County. The burglary was reported on June 22, 2025, and investigators are working to determine the timeline and circumstances surrounding the incident. Residents of this county should be able to worship freely and without fear of criminal targeting. The scholarship was awarded during the annual Georgia 4-H Achievement Scholarship Luncheon at Rock Eagle. On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the City of Douglas made a land donation around North Madison Avenue Park to the Douglas-Coffee County Land Bank Authority to help fill local housing needs for victims of Hurricane Helene and to support workforce housing.
